Salary: $50K – $60K per year, depending on your experience and the specific role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Step into the classroom and guide learning experiences while ensuring a nurturing and educational environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Implement lesson plans provided by the Lead Teacher, giving each child a fulfilling educational experience.
- Get ahead by familiarizing yourself with course materials whenever possible, ensuring you’re well-prepared.
- Support students in grasping the subject matter thoroughly, aiding their learning journey.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
- Keep track of class responsibilities and project due dates to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate insights and observations to the Lead Teacher by providing detailed reports on lessons, activities, and student behavior.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or an Allegra Franco certificate is acceptable for certain substitute roles).
- At least 4 years of teaching experience under your belt.
- Proficiency in early childhood education practices.
- Familiarity with Hebrew language, Jewish customs, and holidays (this is necessary for some substitute roles).
- A commitment to confidentiality regarding student, staff, and parent information.
