Position: Platform Developer

As a Platform Developer, you’ll work under the guidance of our seasoned IT Platform leadership team to help shape digital experiences that not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations. Your role will involve everything from designing software solutions and coding to conducting unit tests and providing support whenever the need arises. We’re looking for someone with a solid grasp of development methodologies and software tools relevant to different phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). A familiarity with principles such as Secure Coding, CI/CD, Agile development, and Design Thinking will set you up for success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate on various projects, upgrades, and implementations
- Follow the SDLC framework and governance processes meticulously
- Help establish and refine standards, templates, and procedures
- Contribute insights to project plans alongside your project lead or manager
- Migrate objects between environments as per established SDLC practices
- Design and build top-notch software that meets our rigorous quality standards
- Embed necessary audit, compliance, and security controls in your work
- Stay curious—research and propose new features or functionalities as they become available
- Develop and execute test plans, and perform unit testing on your work and that of your peers
- Lead or participate in peer review sessions to foster a culture of collaboration
- Create detailed documentation such as functional and technical specs, testing plans, and training materials
- Engage in 24/7 production support to ensure our systems run smoothly
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of experience specifically in Platform Development (domain-specific knowledge might be needed)
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required (relevant work experience can take the place of a degree)
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Epic certifications are a plus
- Relevant certifications in your area of expertise (think Microsoft certifications or Salesforce credentials)
- Solid background in software development and testing
- Hands-on programming experience is a must
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and change control is essential
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical folks both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational abilities along with good multitasking and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Familiarity with version control and job scheduling tools is beneficial
- An understanding of secure coding practices and CI/CD is advantageous
- Experience in the financial services sector is preferred
Compensation:
The starting base salary for this role ranges from $87,027 to $138,965 per year; compensation will be tailored based on your skills, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
