Join Us at Figma: Research Operations & Enablement Manager
At Figma, we’re on a mission to make design accessible for everyone, and our team is growing with passionate individuals who share this vision. Figma helps entire product teams design and create outstanding products together—from initial brainstorming to the final touches. Whether it’s bringing together various tools, streamlining workflows, or enhancing collaboration across time zones, we make the design journey smoother, more enjoyable, and inclusive. Because let’s be honest: amazing products aren’t created in isolation—everyone plays a role in the magic, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
As our family expands, so does the complexity of our user research activities. We’re in search of a Research Operations & Enablement Manager who will help us refine and scale our research practices—allowing our talented researchers to shine by focusing on delivering meaningful insights.
What You’ll Be Up To:
-
Optimize Research Operations: You’ll have the key role of creating and managing workflows that streamline participant recruitment, incentive management, and research project tracking—keeping everything running smoothly.
-
Support the Team’s Tools: You’ll ensure our research toolkit is in top shape, managing essential tools like Sprig, Great Question, and Snowflake to fit the team’s needs.
-
Empower Researchers: By partnering with our research team, you’ll provide operational support so they can concentrate on unearthing impactful insights, while you handle logistics like participant recruitment.
-
Cultivate Research Excellence: With your keen eye for detail, you’ll maintain high operational standards through thorough documentation, shared knowledge, and continuous process improvements.
-
Manage Budgets and Partnerships: You’ll take ownership of the research operations budget—negotiating with vendors and refining procurement processes to align with our goals.
- Encourage Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to align research efforts with our overall objectives and priorities.
We’d Love to Chat With You If You Have:
-
Experience: At least 5 years in research operations, program management, or a related role, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment.
-
Participant Recruitment Know-How: A solid track record in sourcing, screening, scheduling, and managing participant databases while ensuring privacy compliance.
-
Process Optimization Skills: Experience developing efficient workflows and systems for documentation and knowledge sharing.
-
Familiarity with Research Tools: Experience with tools such as User Interviews, Great Question, Sprig, and Snowflake, complemented by vendor management experience.
-
Organizational Prowess: Strong skills in managing various stakeholders across teams, including researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers.
- Communication Skills: Ability to craft self-service resources, training materials, and frameworks that empower teams to conduct effective research.
It’s a Plus If You Also Have:
-
Budget Management Experience: Hands-on experience managing research budgets, negotiating with vendors, and streamlining procurement processes.
-
Mixed-Methods Research Knowledge: An understanding of how research operations can support various methodologies.
-
Experience in Growing Organizations: Familiarity with how research operations adapt alongside business evolution.
-
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in SQL, Python, or automation tools to enhance research operations.
-
UX Design Insight: Background in UX design or product development, aiding in aligning research operations with business needs.
