Job Title: Part-Time Robotics Instructor
Overview:
Are you passionate about robotics and education? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Robotics Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. Under the guidance of our Director of Educational Development, you’ll have the chance to plan and lead exciting, hands-on learning sessions that inspire students to dive into the world of robotics.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll engage with students regularly and share your enthusiasm for technology and engineering. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Director of Educational Development to ensure smooth and effective learning experiences.
- Designing and leading interactive instructional sessions that spark curiosity and creativity in robotics.
- Guiding students as they build their skills in robotics, coding, engineering, and other STEM areas.
- Keeping an open line of communication with the Director to discuss progress and any concerns.
- Setting a positive example by demonstrating both academic and social skills that resonate with students.
- Assisting with additional tasks as needed to support the educational mission.

- Proficiency in coding languages like Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python.
- Experience in guiding students on using various robotics tools and kits (think Ozobot, Sphero, drones, LEGO, Vex, and more!) through coding.
- The ability to collect and analyze student data to help shape future lessons.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle different situations effectively.
- Comfort in instructing students with varying skill levels and interests.
Qualifications:
You’ll need a bachelor’s degree, along with teaching or tutoring experience. Your background should include solid knowledge in computer science and robotics to provide students with engaging and informative learning experiences.
