Position Overview
Your Career
As a Solutions Consultant, you’ll step into an evolved role that goes beyond traditional Sales Engineering. Your main goal will be to help our customers understand their environments by providing insightful guidance and ensuring they maximize the value of their investments with Palo Alto Networks. With your technical expertise, you will lead clients on their security transformation journeys, defining tailored solutions that align with their critical business objectives. You’ll be our ambassador, promoting our industry leadership across on-prem, cloud, and security operations services, solidifying our position as the cybersecurity partner of choice for our clients.
Your Impact

- Achieve and surpass sales targets by crafting and implementing strategic technical account plans focused on cross-platform solutions.
- Present, demonstrate, and create high-level designs across the full Palo Alto Networks portfolio based on clients’ business needs.
- Engage in deep-dive discussions to uncover and communicate the key technical, operational, and commercial drivers for your prospects and clients.
- Partner closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialized teams to ensure seamless implementation and adoption of our solutions.
- Utilize your strong communication skills to influence stakeholders through compelling presentations, customer-centric demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
- Lead successful technical validation efforts that ensure a winning advantage in assigned opportunities based on proven best practices.
- Collaborate with various resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to maintain a unified approach that showcases a cohesive strategy.
- Advocate for comprehensive solutions, including both Palo Alto Networks and partner professional services, to ensure customers realize business value promptly.
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape to effectively highlight our leadership position.
- Invest in your personal growth by developing both technical and professional skills that enhance your contributions to our clients’ success, while actively participating in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
- (Optional) Identify key technical stakeholders and build relationships that drive the transformation of security architecture roadmaps.
Your Qualifications
- Familiarity with data networking, modern application design, and cloud architectures.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that tackle technical challenges and drive new business initiatives.
- Proven ability to engage and gain buy-in from key stakeholders, whether in a customer-facing or internal capacity—experience in a pre-sales context is a plus.
- Skill in creating and presenting technical workshops, validation engagements, and presentations.
- Background in selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions related to Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, or SOC Transformation Technologies.
- Experience collaborating with Customer Support teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions sold.
- Comfort with complex sales cycles involving multiple buying centers and cross-product solutions.
- Proficiency in English.

Compensation Information
The compensation for this role will vary based on your qualifications, experience, and location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the expected starting base salary (for non-sales positions) or base salary plus commission target (for sales positions) ranges from $198,000 to $273,000 per year.
