About the Role:
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager with a focus on AI for Security. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind incorporating artificial intelligence into our security offerings. Your innovative spirit and strategic mindset will help our customers enhance their threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Crafting Product Strategy: You’ll develop and refine a dynamic product strategy and roadmap aimed at seamlessly integrating AI and machine learning into our security solutions, always keeping customer and business needs in sight.
• Connecting with Customers: Engage directly with customers to gain insights into their security operations, identify their pain points, and discover how AI can make their lives easier and more secure.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Partner up with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to articulate product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure our roadmap translates into real results. You’ll work closely with multiple engineering teams to identify and address customer challenges in unique ways.
• Staying Ahead of the Curve: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends, new technologies, and competitors to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the AI-powered security landscape.
• Measuring Success: Establish and track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of AI enhancements within our security products.
• Communicating Effectively: Work with various teams to polish our messaging, elevate user experiences, and optimize how well our products fit the market.
• Being a Thought Leader: Represent Splunk at industry events, conferences, and webinars, showcasing the power and potential of Splunk Security.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Security Operations Expertise: A deep understanding of security operations, including threat detection, incident response, and SIEM systems, honed through hands-on experience.
• Background in Threat Detection: You have experience in threat detection or detection engineering and understand the methodologies and tools involved.
• Product Management Experience: You’ve got a solid background in product management, especially in cybersecurity, with a track record of successfully launching security products.
• Strong Communication Skills: You can convey complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly, whether speaking to customers or presenting to executive leadership.
• AI and Machine Learning Knowledge: Familiarity with AI and machine learning, particularly in the context of cybersecurity, would give you an edge.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive base salary, with ranges depending on location:

• SF Bay Area, Seattle, and New York City: $181,200 – $249,150
• California (excluding SF Bay Area), Washington (excluding Seattle), D.C., and Massachusetts: $163,080 – $224,235
• Other locations: $144,960 – $199,320
