About the Role
As an integral part of our Android development team, you’ll have a vital role in designing and enhancing our mobile application. Your mission will involve implementing fresh product features, troubleshooting any bumps in the road, and elevating the overall user experience of the app. You’ll take advantage of cutting-edge Android tools, including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Room, Hilt, and many more. Collaborating in a dynamic environment alongside product managers, designers, data engineers, and other tech experts, you’ll work closely with the Project Lead and your peers to propel our product forward. This isn’t just a job—this is a chance to make a positive impact on an app used by millions and grow into a confident, independent Android developer over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Team Collaboration: You’ll work side by side with a vibrant mix of developers, designers, and product managers to craft features that resonate with our users and keep quality at the forefront.
- Mastering Kotlin: Develop your skills in Kotlin, utilizing your knowledge to create efficient solutions that stand out.
- Android Development: Dive deep into Android principles and design patterns to create intuitive applications that users will love.
- Problem-Solving: Triage and debug software issues, ensuring that our app’s performance remains top-notch.
- Code Stewardship: Play an active role in maintaining and evolving our codebase by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
- Feedback Loop: Engage in code reviews where you’ll both provide and receive constructive feedback aimed at fostering growth and excellence within the team.
- Team Engagement: Stay actively involved in team meetings like stand-ups and planning sessions, ensuring everyone is aligned and that we’re all moving in the same direction.
- Clear Communication: Foster an uplifting and inclusive team atmosphere by maintaining open lines of communication with your coworkers.
Who You Are
- Android Development Experience: You bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Android development, showcasing your ability to create and implement compelling mobile applications.
- Published on Google Play: You’ve successfully published at least one app on the Google Play Store, demonstrating your familiarity with the deployment process and managing production applications.
- Kotlin and SDK Expertise: Proficient in Kotlin, you also have a solid understanding of Android SDKs and frameworks. Knowledge of Java in the Android context is a nice added bonus.
- Software Development Fundamentals: You possess a robust understanding of software development principles and are skilled in crafting efficient, maintainable code.
- Effective Communicator: You have the ability to communicate clearly and foster collaborative relationships with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Quality-Oriented: You take pride in your work and prioritize creating high-quality user experiences that reflect attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $143,000 – $185,760 per year, influenced by your experience and the responsibilities of the role. This range applies to positions in New York City, with adjustments made for remote positions as necessary.
