Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll support the Hospice Associate Director of Patient Services by providing invaluable leadership and mentoring to our nursing staff. Together, we’ll ensure our Hospice and Palliative Care services align with our program’s philosophy, goals, and policies. You’ll assist in scheduling staff assignments while empowering RN Case Managers to excel in pain and symptom management, all while focusing on patient and family care goals. Your expertise will help monitor the quality of nursing documentation, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations. You’ll also have the opportunity to represent MJHS in community presentations alongside our Admissions/Outreach Departments.
Who We’re Looking For:
To join our team, you should have:
- A degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN or BS preferred)
- At least five years of hospice nursing experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
- A valid New York State RN license
- National Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN) is preferred; we encourage certification within one year of hire
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Windows
- Strong ability to supervise and mentor nursing staff in hospice care
- A knack for working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Salary Range:
- Minimum: USD $115,104.83/Yr
- Maximum: USD $143,881.04/Yr
