What You’ll Be Doing:
- Craft and deliver engaging math lessons that align with curriculum standards and ignite students’ interest.
- Tailor your teaching to meet the varying needs of individual students, small groups, and those requiring additional support.
- Assess student progress consistently, offering constructive feedback to help them meet their math goals.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student behavior, creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
- Use a mix of teaching techniques, including hands-on exploration and direct instruction, to cater to different learning styles.
- Work alongside fellow educators to enrich the classroom experience and foster a vibrant academic community.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or another STEM-related field (a Master’s degree is a plus!).
- Proven experience as a Math teacher, showcasing your passion for education.
- A strong grasp of math curricula and innovative teaching strategies that captivate students.
- The ability to motivate and engage students through creative lesson plans.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a knack for effective communication.
- Comfort with technology and integrating it into your teaching practice.
We Prioritize Candidates Who:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and are enrolled in a Master’s program.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field along with a New York State teaching certificate.
- Have earned a Master’s degree in a STEM field.
