In this role, you’ll take on the technical aspects of customer management, collaborating closely with customer IT operations, architecture teams, and business leadership. We want you to achieve the Nutanix Certified Expert (NCX) certification within your first year, and don’t worry—we’ll provide all the training you need to get there! This certification demonstrates your ability to design and advocate for Nutanix solutions.
You’ll be reporting to our Regional Customer Experience Leader, who is passionate about building partnerships. We believe that every team member plays a crucial role in helping clients achieve their goals. You’ll primarily work remotely, freeing you from the daily commute while still allowing you to maintain strong engagement with your customers. While some travel will be needed within your region, we aim to keep those trips efficient and focused.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and nurture strong relationships with your assigned customer accounts to ensure they experience success using Nutanix technology.
- Serve as a trusted advisor post-sale for 6-8 key customers, guiding them from initial deployment through to adoption and further expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively meet customer needs and maximize resource utilization.
- Understand each customer’s business objectives and technical requirements to provide tailored solutions.
- Work alongside customer architects to ensure their architecture aligns with business aspirations.
- Develop and document personalized Customer Success Plans and track their progress together with your customers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and proactively tackle any concerns that arise.
- Drive product usage and expansion in customer environments by leveraging your technical expertise.
- Share valuable insights on technology use and best practices to help customers operate more efficiently.
- Collect and relay customer feedback to inform future product development and service improvements.
- Oversee the technical onboarding process for new customers to ensure their objectives are met.
What We’re Looking For
- 8-12 years of experience in customer-focused technical roles, with a proven track record of engaging effectively with mid-senior business and technical audiences.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, etc.
- Strong technical foundation in data center technology and virtualization, ideally with a specialty in hybrid multicloud solutions.
- In-depth understanding of large-scale customer operations and industry standards.
- Proven technical credibility via relevant certifications (e.g., VCDX, VCAP, NPX, NCX, ITIL v4, TOGAF).
- Exceptional communication and relationship skills, allowing you to advocate for customer needs while providing constructive insights to internal teams.
- A customer-centric mindset driven by a desire to create positive outcomes and implement effective problem-solving strategies.
Work Environment
This position is primarily remote, allowing you to work effectively without the need for a fixed office space. While you may occasionally need to visit a local office or travel to other locations as needed, we strive to keep travel to a minimum to maintain your connections with both your customers and your team.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role begins at USD $124,480 and can go up to USD $247,800 per year. Exact pay will depend on individual factors such as your skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. Along with a competitive base salary, the full compensation package may also include bonuses, stock options, and other comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) plan, various paid time off options, and healthcare benefits.
