Join Our Team: Lead Application Developer
Are you someone who truly understands the needs of clients and is fueled by the idea of making a difference in the lives of millions? Do you want to be part of a vibrant, inclusive team where collaboration and belonging are a top priority? If this resonates with you, then we should talk!
About the Role:
At ADP Technology Services, Inc., we’re looking for Lead Application Developers to join us in the heart of New York City, NY. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to design the future alongside a passionate team.
In this role, you’ll need to bring your eagerness to learn and your enthusiasm for tackling new challenges head-on. You’ll be curious about the latest technologies and driven to apply what you discover to your work. Being persuasive and persistent will help you navigate the exciting but sometimes complex path ahead.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Inspire and Collaborate: You’ll have the chance to present your ideas to senior leaders, product owners, and your peers. With your executive presence, you’ll communicate effectively, lead change, and highlight milestone achievements.
-
Solve Challenges: We know that roadblocks will come up, and we’ll be counting on you to find creative solutions.
-
Develop and Innovate: You’ll be responsible for crafting new features that enhance the Lifion application. This involves everything from developing and testing Human Capital Management products to implementing software functionality, creating technical specifications, and ensuring all aspects of application governance. You will be engaged in the full product development lifecycle—from initial concepts through to the final product rollout. Automating application testing will be a part of your skill set, too!
- Work in a Team: Collaborating with Product Owners, UX Designers, and Architects, you’ll help deliver exceptional products that bring joy to our clients while actively contributing to our team’s best practices and process optimizations.
What You Bring:
-
Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field along with six years of relevant experience is essential. If you hold a Master’s degree, four years of experience will suffice.
- Technical Skills: You should be well-versed in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, C#, JavaScript, C, or Go, and have hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL/PL-SQL. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, triaging tools like Kibana or Splunk, code hosting platforms such as Bitbucket, and software testing will set you apart.
Why You’ll Love Working with Us:
-
Courageous Collaboration: We believe in the power of open conversations and challenging each other’s ideas to arrive at the best solutions together.
-
Epic Deliverables: Your work will lead to real outcomes that significantly improve user experiences. We value simplicity and are committed to making our clients happy and productive.
-
Curious Minds: Here, you’ll find yourself surrounded by fellow learners, where nurturing each other’s growth is a shared value. We believe in agility and learning from our challenges.
-
Ownership Mentality: You’ll be encouraged to take charge and tackle complex problems—no task is too small or too big. Hands-on commitment is what we’re all about!
-
Community Focused: We’re dedicated to doing right by our clients and giving back to the community through our philanthropic endeavors.
- Equality Matters: Join a company that stands firm on equality and equity, striving for meaningful change through our actions.
