We’re excited to invite an experienced Patient Experience Manager 2 to join our vibrant team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in beautiful Jamaica, NY. This impressive 550-bed facility is dedicated to providing exceptional care, and we’re looking for a skilled manager who shares our commitment to improving patient experiences.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work directly with the Food Service General Manager and lead a dedicated team of about 70 employees in a unionized environment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our patient services run seamlessly, managing everything from supply ordering to patient rounding and team scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
As our new Patient Experience Manager 2, you will:
- Dive into patient satisfaction data regularly, uncovering insights and applying new strategies to enhance performance across the board.
- Oversee the operations in patient services, including food production and diet office management.
- Be committed to delivering top-notch service quality and timely deliveries to our patients.
- Act as the bridge between dietitians, nursing managers, and patient units, playing an integral role in initiatives focused on patient safety and overall experience.
- Collaborate with the diet office to resolve any menu-related concerns raised by our patients.
- Conduct daily rounds to engage with patients about their meals and experiences.
- Identify areas for process improvement and oversee the implementation of your ideas.
- Lead training efforts for employees to ensure compliance, safety, sanitation, and excellent customer service.
- Champion the Gold Check Standards and HACCP guidelines.
- Work closely with culinary staff to address customer feedback about food items.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
