We have an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Incident Response to join our global financial organization. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our defense against ever-evolving cyber threats.
If you’re a bilingual professional fluent in Portuguese, eager to expand your security expertise, whether you’ve been active in a Security Operations Center (SOC), have hands-on IT experience, or are looking to step into incident response, we want to hear from you!
Location: Embrace a flexible hybrid work model, splitting your time between our offices in New York City or Los Angeles for three days a week.
Compensation: This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $145,000 annually.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:
- Actively monitor and analyze security incidents in our Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Dive into the details of threats, vulnerabilities, and unusual activities using top-notch SIEM tools like Splunk.
- Play a key role in our incident response efforts, helping to contain and mitigate security events as they unfold.
- Work closely with our internal teams to enhance security monitoring and develop robust defense strategies.
- Assist in conducting forensic analyses, creating reports, and maintaining documentation post-incident.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes, automate detection methods, and contribute to our evolving security playbooks.
- Share your insights and recommendations with both technical and non-technical team members to promote a culture of security awareness.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fluency in Portuguese is a must!
- At least 1 year of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT role with a solid grounding in security monitoring and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with security tools like SIEM, EDR, firewalls, or intrusion detection systems; experience with Splunk is especially beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, allowing you to effectively assess and respond to cyber threats.
- A genuine enthusiasm for cybersecurity and a desire to grow within the incident response field.
- A collaborative mindset, ready to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
- Security certifications (like CEH or GCIH) are a plus but not required.
