Your Purpose:
As our Senior Manager in the Technology Governance Office, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination of responses and execution activities related to U.S. regulatory, audit, and self-identified challenges. You’ll serve as a key technology partner, working alongside various U.S. control functions to support IT exam readiness and remediation efforts. Your mission will be to help steer the Technology team in aligning with our overall business strategies while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT contributions to various regulatory remediation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Office of the CIO and both internal and external auditors to track and manage remediation action plans.
- Draft and review regulatory responses and closure packages, offering guidance to IT colleagues on approach, content, required documentation, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Create standardized communication and documentation for U.S. Technology workstreams addressing regulatory issues.
- Ensure governance protocols are followed during meetings related to regulatory matters, with proper documentation of decisions and risk escalations.
- Maintain thorough documentation throughout the remediation journey, ensuring evidence repositories are up-to-date.
- Review key regulatory risks and issues and their associated action plans.
- Engage with external regulators and provide internal reports on remediation status to senior stakeholders.
- Be mindful of how the Bank’s risk culture impacts day-to-day activities and decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
We want someone with a well-rounded understanding of one or more of the following areas:
- U.S. regulatory frameworks (like FFIEC Guidelines, NYS DFS, FRB NY, FINRA)
- Technology management aspects (e.g., IT Asset Management, Cybersecurity)
- Issue Management – from execution tracking to risk evaluation
- Audit or exam management experience within financial institutions
On top of your impressive background, you’ll carry excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and strong written and oral communication. You’ll be adept at juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
