POSITION SUMMARY:
Marc Jacobs International, inspired by the visionary flair of Marc Jacobs himself, is on the lookout for a dynamic Vice President and Chief Information Officer to become a key player within our Information Technology team at our vibrant SoHo headquarters in New York City. You’ll be reporting directly to our Chief Supply Chain & Transformation Officer, collaborating closely with the Group Chief Information Officer at LVMH.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Design and implement a forward-thinking global technology strategy that fuels MARC JACOBS’ growth ambitions and drives transformation within the organization.
- Outline comprehensive plans for evaluating, developing, and rolling out innovative technical solutions, focusing on both front-end and back-end services, including web and mobile applications.
- Ensure our technology infrastructure adheres to group standards, optimizing functionality, security, and efficiency through established architectures.
- Serve as the key IT leader within the organization, fostering communication with the MARC JACOBS Executive Committee as well as the broader Group.
- Oversee IT infrastructure and application rationalization while spearheading Business IT programs.
Business Alignment:
- Align our technology roadmap with MARC JACOBS’ overall business strategies, leveraging IT resources alongside partnerships to supercharge our back-office and front-office operations.
- Guarantee platform reliability to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Establish consistent foundations for technical and application infrastructures, prioritizing Group recommendations to accelerate Production, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Retail/Omnichannel processes.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to evaluate both immediate and future needs, ensuring resources are effectively utilized to achieve business goals.
- Solicit and incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously enhance our technology solutions.
Operational Excellence:
- Champion the Global Group IT Operating Model in MARC JACOBS, maximizing our scale and best practices worldwide. Manage existing and new core models such as SAP and web platforms.
- Collaborate with the Global Group Cyber Security team to ensure business continuity and resilience against cyber threats, implementing robust cybersecurity measures throughout the organization.
- Develop and maintain a technology governance framework, including relevant policies and guidelines.
- Oversee the integration of third-party technology platforms within our existing systems.
- Lead software development projects from inception to completion while ensuring budget adherence and risk management.
- Drive change management initiatives within the IT organization, bridging technology and business processes.
- Stay ahead of emerging technology trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance our operational capabilities.
Team Leadership:
- Inspire and guide both technical and functional IT teams to excel.
- Foster MARC JACOBS’ integration into the Global IT Community, promoting high-performing collaborations across functions and global locations.
- Lead team transformations, emphasizing a product-centric approach, a transition to public cloud solutions, and a modern enterprise architecture.
- Support team development through effective organization, recruitment, coaching, and upskilling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A solid educational background.
- Over a decade of technology leadership experience in global environments, adept at leading both product-based and cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in building and scaling high-performing tech teams with a focus on quality, covering areas such as application development, security, and infrastructure operations.
- Extensive knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with third-party integrations.
- Significant expertise in software architecture, facilitating the journey of digital products from initial concept to mature solutions.
- A knack for cultivating strong customer relationships and delivering solutions centered around customer needs.
- Ability to make prompt and informed decisions that drive the organization forward, fueled by a passion for collective success.
- Proficient at engaging with diverse groups and building trusting relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration and celebrating both team and individual achievements.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The salary for this position ranges from $240,000 to $300,000 annually, tailored to align with your experience and skills.
