Your Role:
We’re on the lookout for someone special to join our Business Affairs team. If you’re someone who thrives in a vibrant entertainment environment and enjoys diving into a variety of legal matters, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and senior counsel and take charge of negotiating, drafting, and managing a diverse range of legal agreements in the realms of entertainment, technology, and intellectual property. This role is based in our NYC office and provides a unique chance to broaden your knowledge across multiple practice areas within the exciting world of video games.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drafting, analyzing, and negotiating commercial agreements that span entertainment content creation, production, marketing, and distribution.
- Supporting senior attorneys across various domains like music, sports, technology, and gaming—both for consoles and mobile.
- Structuring and analyzing complex deals involving a multitude of third-party rights, from content distributors to sports leagues and talent.
- Advising internal teams on general business and contract matters, covering everything from copyright and technology to regulatory issues.
- Offering day-to-day legal counsel to our creatively driven business units.
- Assessing risks related to multifaceted legal challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Playing a vital role in helping our publishing teams create cutting-edge products efficiently and effectively.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in-house or at a law firm.
- Strong expertise in contracting matters, with a knack for clear and precise drafting.
- Familiarity with complex intellectual property transactions related to content creation and distribution.
- Experience in entertainment or technology law, or significant corporate experience and an eager transition into this exciting field.
- A keen ability to evaluate and advise on complex agreements.
- A good dose of common sense, patience, and a sense of humor, along with a commitment to teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills to break down intricate legal matters for colleagues and clients.
- A genuine passion for the gaming industry.
- A calm demeanor even when deadlines loom.
- You’re qualified and in good standing with the State Bar of New York.

The starting pay for this position in New York City is projected between $123,500 and $182,780 per year. Keep in mind that this base pay is adjusted according to market conditions and individual qualifications such as experience and skill set.
