Your Role
We’re excited to welcome experienced security engineers to our fast-paced, US-based engineering team. In this role, you’ll use your expertise to guide us in building applications that are protected from both current and future cybersecurity threats, engaging at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Up To

- Collaborate with engineers and management to define secure coding standards, and champion their implementation.
- Conduct architectural and code reviews, focusing on secure development strategies.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments, both independently and in alignment with our broader security and compliance initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and rectify security vulnerabilities through both manual and automated testing methods.
- Integrate automated tools like SAST, DAST, RASP, and SCA into our CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead the triage of incoming security issues, working closely with engineering teams to resolve known or suspected vulnerabilities.
- Mentor engineers in secure development practices.
- Research and analyze commercial and open-source solutions, providing insights on whether to build or buy new capabilities.
- Foster a user-centric mindset, deeply empathizing with end-users.
- Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including product, machine learning, and platform engineering, to learn from others and share your knowledge.
What You Bring to the Table
- You have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with significant focus on cybersecurity in cloud-native applications. You’ve learned from both successes and challenges along the way.
- You’re passionate about software security, well-versed in various aspects of the stack. Whether it’s spotting potential cross-site scripting vulnerabilities or discussing encryption techniques, you’ve got it covered.
- Experience in regulated environments is a must—you’re familiar with compliance frameworks like SOC2 and HITRUST.
- You stay current on industry best practices and enjoy continually learning new skills.
- You’re hands-on, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are ready to contribute wherever needed.

Compensation & Work Environment
- Base Salary: $185,000-$265,000+ annually, plus equity.
- The provided salary range is based on our transparent pay guidelines, with actual pay depending on experience, location, and other factors.
- We expect a commitment to a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in our San Francisco or New York office at least three times per week (relocation assistance is available).
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Join us for our builder team retreats every 3-6 months to engage in hackathons and team-building activities.
