Company Overview
About KIPP NYC:
Welcome to KIPP NYC Public Schools! We’re a vibrant, non-profit network comprised of 18 free, public charter schools spread across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Our mission? To partner with families and communities to create schools that are not only rigorous but also joyful—because we believe that everyone deserves a fair shot at building their future. Our journey began in 1995 in the Bronx with the launch of KIPP Academy, inspired by a vision where every child has the freedom to shape their own destiny and uplift their community. Fast forward to today, and our network includes eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, one high school, and KIPP Forward, a dynamic program dedicated to guiding our students and alumni on their educational and career journeys. We’re proud to serve over 12,000 students and alumni, backed by a passionate staff of more than 1,000, including 8% who are alumni themselves. And we’re just getting started!

- Embracing a “whatever it takes” mantra to ensure every student sees success.
- Exemplifying the school’s core values in every interaction with students, families, and fellow staff members.
Who You Are:
To thrive in our community, you should bring the following:
- Strong interpersonal skills that help cultivate a collegial and supportive work environment. We value qualities like zest, grit, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sprinkle of humor.
- A solid background with at least two years of teaching experience preferred.
