Job description:
About Us:
At SecurityScorecard, we’re proud to be the leading force in cybersecurity ratings globally. With over 12 million companies rated continuously across 64 countries, we’ve built a reputation that speaks to our expertise. Founded in 2013 by security and risk veterans Dr. Alex Yampolskiy and Sam Kassoumeh, we’ve been fortunate to attract top-tier investors who share our vision. Our patented technology empowers more than 25,000 organizations to enhance their cybersecurity measures—whether that’s self-monitoring, managing third-party risks, reporting to boards, or underwriting cyber insurance. We believe that by helping organizations understand and rectify their cybersecurity vulnerabilities, we can make the digital world a safer place.
Headquartered in vibrant New York City, we’ve earned accolades that reflect our commitment to a positive workplace culture, including being recognized by Inc. Magazine as a “Best Workplace” and named one of the top 10 hottest SaaS startups in NYC for two years running. This year, we’re thrilled to be on Fast Company’s annual list and to have made it to Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces, a nod to our dedication to employee engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. As part of the Solutions Architects team, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor, not just to our sales team but also to prospective clients. Your role will involve diving deep into the intricacies of our offerings and understanding the broader market landscape. If you’ve got a knack for turning complex technical information into digestible insights, you might just be who we’re looking for!
In this role, you will spearhead pre-sales technical interactions with customers, showcasing our products, answering queries, and offering insights on industry best practices. You should have a solid background in areas such as cybersecurity, information security, third-party risk management (TPRM), supply chain, IT risk, compliance, and privacy.
Success in this position means having the technical savvy to grasp SecurityScorecard’s architecture and services, coupled with a consultative approach to align our solutions with customer needs. Engaging with engineers and decision-makers will be part of your daily routine, and your strategic communication skills will shine as you present our solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with our Sales team to pinpoint technical requirements and craft solutions that tackle complex client challenges, all while enhancing revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct engaging technical presentations, product demos, and Proof of Value projects for potential clients.
- Represent SecurityScorecard at industry events and executive roundtable discussions.
- Liaise with Product Management and Engineering to provide market insights and help shape our product roadmap based on real customer needs and competitive dynamics.
- Track and report on success metrics for customer PoVs, ensuring we measure what matters.
- Apply and uphold MEDDIC best practices throughout the sales process.
- Become our go-to expert on cyber-first supply chain services.
- Foster strong relationships across the organization, including with Marketing, Support, and Customer Success teams.
- Be a true champion for your prospects, advocating for their needs and ensuring they feel heard and valued.
Who You Are:
- You bring over 5 years of experience in security, IT compliance, or a related field, with no sales experience needed.
- Your presentation skills are top-notch, allowing you to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with enterprise-level organizations is a plus, and you’ve successfully managed complex technical projects.
- While a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) is preferred, industry certifications like CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA, or GCIH certainly give you an extra edge.
Traits We Value:
- You’re a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in cross-functional settings.
- Your curiosity drives you to continually learn and deepen your expertise.
- You are comfortable traveling for work, whether it’s for the day or overnight across the US.
What’s In It for You:
We offer a competitive salary, stock options, comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more—tailored to each country. For this role, the total estimated compensation range is $150,000 – $200,000 (base plus bonus), with actual figures influenced by a variety of factors, including experience and skills.
At SecurityScorecard, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We hire based on merit and do not discriminate based on any protected category. If you require accommodations during the application process, we are here to assist you.
Ready to join us and make your mark? We’d love to hear from you!
